AES/EBU cables with XLR connectors for digital audio signals. 110ohm foil shielded balanced cable and Neutrik AG connectors. Wired to the standard XLR pin configuration with Pin2 as the 'hot' signal.
AES/EBU cables get their slightly odd name from the fact the standard was create by two companies, AES and EBU being the abbreviations for the company names. Also commonly referred to as AES Cables.The AES/EBU standard, officially named AES3, was developed in the mid 80's as a way to take analog audio into the digital world. AES3 XLR connections are typically found on high end audio processing equipment.
