S-PDIF Cables

S/PDIF cables are terminated with standard RCA connectors, but differ from regular analog audio RCA cables, as they use a 'digital coaxial' cable to transfer to signal. Digital signals can degrade quickly if too much interference reaches the conductor (losing digital packets of data), hence the use of coax cable for S/PDIF signals, which has a much higher rejection of interference compared to analog audio cables.
