Daphon E20NG Noise Gate Guitar Pedal
By: Mr. Steve Bennett on 26 September 2014Excellent service, product works well and is of solid construction. Took a while to work out how to work it, contacted customer service who were only too willing to assist.
The Daphon E20NG is an effective noise gate / noise eliminator pedal that prevents unwanted buzzes and feedback from being amplified when you are not playing guitar. It achieves this by setting a volume level that must be reached, before signal passes to the output. If the signal volume is not reached, than the output / signal reaching the amp, is dead quiet.
By adjusting the Sens knob (sensitivity), you can determine the volume at which the "gate" opens to allow sound to pass through to your amp, and when it "shuts" which prevents any sound traveling after the pedal to your amp. Best used at the end of your effects chain, or after the pedal that is making the undesirable noise.
- Level Knob
The overall volume level of the signal when the gate is open.
- Sens (Sensitivity)
Sets the volume level where the noise gate 'opens'.
Controls the speed in which the gate is activated.
- Decay (aka release)
Controls the amount of time that the gate is left open.
- Suitable for Guitar and Bass
- Runs on a 9v Battery that is included
- Can also run on a 9v ac adapter (please check our store)
- Single Input and Output (1/4" Jack)
- Heavy duty plastic casing
- Rubber sole to prevent slipping
Although these pedals are designed for electric guitar, their analog design makes them compatible with most other electric instruments, including microphones.
