Soprano 21" Ukulele - 12 Frets
A Soprano is the second smallest of the Ukulele family, with 12 frets and a sound that is higher in pitch than other ukulele's. Considered as the "standard" size, the Soprano is perfect for those starting out on their folk journey or people with smaller hands and fingers. Easy to learn, play, tune and to carry with you. The U30G is constructed with a mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and basswood sides and back, giving great sound and playability.
The Ukulele is a small 4 string guitar-shaped instrument that has long been a feature of folk, traditional and pop music. Songs like "Tip-Toe Through The Tulips", "Ukulele Lady" and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" have been recorded and performed many times using this wonderful instrument. So popular is the ukulele that many well known artists like Eddie Vedder, Mumford & Sons, and of course Kermit the Frog have all recorded tracks using it.
Ukuleles, like guitars, have tuning pegs on the headstock to adjust the string's tension. The difference is in the pitch of the strings, which are tensioned G (high) C E A.
