Turbo Series
The Turbo 5 is an active studio monitor and an ideal solution when smaller is a good option. The digital bi-amp-driven loudspeaker allows perfect mixes and mastering in monitoring environments. The Turbo 5 is ideal as a desktop monitor or as a second monitoring solution. The distinctive hexagon-influenced shape is designed to reduce internal standing waves. The front of the baffle includes smooth waveguides and both drivers are recessed from the face. The front also sports a rather spiffy illuminated logo. The active monitor also stands out as a fixed installation in hotels, shops and restaurants. The application fields for near field monitoring with the small Turbo 4 are extremely broad. A 5.25” woofer with a magnetically shielded polypropylene/ceramic membrane is combined with a 1” silk tweeter. The amplification power of the bi-amp module is 50 watts for the low-end frequency range and 30 watts for the high-end frequency range. The Turbos also include digital input via S/PDIF (up to 24 bit 192 kHz), with a pass through connector (also on phono). So, in conjunction with the channel selector switch (left/right) they're very easy to set up from a single stereo digital output. Each unit is also individually switchable between analogue and digital input.
Speaker Technology
Monkey Banana have worked for several years to develop the most efficient construction methods in combination with sleek design to produce the ultimate sonic response. The woofer is comprised of a unique cone material, incorporating Polypropylene (PP) and Ceramic, and the driver uses a ferrite motor structure to enhance magnetic flux to increase long term stability. The tweeter features an aerospace technology which utilises nano-magnetic particles, a neodymium magnet circuit design and ferrofluid thermal conductivity. This advanced approach ensures consistent, long term use with no distortion and clear frequency reproduction.

Monkey Banana was formed in Germany in 2004 with a goal of creating audio products with exceptional design and engineering quality at a competitive price. After years of testing, design research and perfecting manufacturing techniques, their first studio monitors were released to the public in 2010.
