SWAMP Impedance Transformer XLR(f) 1-4(m) - Mic to Hi-Z Guitar Amp
By: Vic on 14 November 2014This is a quality component. The main thing about SWAMP is the prompt turn around. A good company to deal with
By: Vic on 13 March 2014Very good and competive product! For me it's a real unique. In this price category I did not find any stuff in Hungary, moreover in whole Europe! (I tried to find a cheap solution to use my (bass)guitar combo for amplifying microphone.) Finally I found SWAMP in Australia and I thought let's try it! I am a not frequent on-line buyer, but in my case I had some money for "gambling". BUT, it is not a gamble!!! The service, the deadline, the delivery, etc. were perfect. And latest but not least: the quality is surprisingly gOOd! Not generating extra noise, no distortion. Congratulation! Highly recommended product!
By: Vic on 13 December 2013Good quality cable, works well. Cheap alternative too buying a new amp.
By: Vic on 5 July 2013Very nice purchase. Delivery very quick and painless. I had expected that an international delivery might take "forever" - but it didn't.
By: Vic on 6 May 2013Brilliant, Quick easy reliable service. I will continue to use SWAMP industries
Swamp Impedance transformer, 50k ohms to 600 ohms
Opposite to a DI box. This device is used to match impedance between a mic level signal and a Hi-Z guitar level input, maximising signal transfer for maximum volume and clarity.
There is a switch on the device to change the direction of the impedance matching, meaning the transformer can be used in the opposite direction.
Plug a Microphone into a Guitar Amp
Typically it would be used to plug a microphone (low impedance device) into a guitar amplifier (high impedance / Hi-Z input). If you attempt such a connection without using such a device, the output signal from the amp will be much lower.
- Impedance transformer 600ohm to 50k ohms (Low-Z to Hi-Z)
- XLR(f) 3 pin to 1/4" TS Jack
- Maximses Power Transfer
