Colour Coding Rings and Boots

Colour coding your cable connectors is essential when using a multitude of cable runs. In a live production, cables are often run through cable cover channels to protect them and remove trip hazards. This makes them difficult to track when making connections between the stage, FOH desk, or side of stage monitor desk, and colour coding can be useful in identifing each cable run.

Even for performers, the jungle of cables on stage often makes it hard to identify who's cable is who's, and colour coding can be used to avoid unplugging the something by mistake. Similarly, in a studio environment, cables can run through walls which makes them impossible to track. Colour coding is a must in these situations to distinguish between the cable runs.
