Classical Guitars

A classical guitar, often referred to as a Spanish guitar is an acoustic guitar featuring 6 nylon strings. The classical guitar dates back to the 12th century, making it the oldest style of guitar used in modern times. People often associate a classical guitar with flamenco music, a popular Spanish style.

Beginner guitarists will often start on a classical acoustic guitar as the nylon strings it features are softer and easier to play when beginning. The space between the strings on the neck of the guitar is also larger on the classical variety, again making them ideal for beginners.
