Artist STRAT Style Electric Guitar - Review
By: Rick Ayres on 8 May 2021Nice finish - fretwork / Paint / Neck pocket fit are all nice ! Pickups sound good - Volume and tone knobs are smooth - Pickup selector switch feels solid - no crackling sounds from any of them. Now the Bridge and Tremolo, I would describe the fit of the tremolo arm into its' threaded socket as akin to driving a car with a wheel that has one loose wheel nut left on it (something is going to break). In a word 'Terrible'. I have been trying to source a new bridge and arm since buying the guitar, but with a 52.5mm string spacing I am unable to find something suitable and affordable (I am happy to spend $50 - 80). To spend anymore would make buying the guitar in the first place a mistake. I have chosen to keep the guitar and just use it as an unplugged practice guitar (with no tremolo).. If you are happy to use the guitar without the trem it would be fine, or you could just buy a hardtail instead I guess?

No flaws... seriously, this would be crazy good at
By: Graham Wood on 2 March 2020I'll start with the bad - the string action was a little high & the pickups were set a little low. The good - it just plays like you've already owned it for a couple of months already. Super straight neck. No dead (or dud) frets. Not one sharp fret end (even on the low frets near the pickups). Nice weight balance. Switch and pots don't feel cheap. Quality control on entire guitar was flawless. Intonation was perfect. Pickups are spot on (once height set up right). Tuning pegs are all smooth and precise. Jack is secure. Even the plastic on the pickguard was easy to get off (pet peeve). I'd hate to be trying to sell a MIM Strat in a store that also has one of these hanging up to compare it with. You just can't go past this as the Goldy Locks of guitars. The price is just... confusingly low. I'm stunned.
