What is a utility road case used for?
Anything that is not a fixed piece of equipment: cables, microphones, stand hardware, lighting and other show accessories. Packing them into one robust trunk speeds up bump in and bump out, protects the contents in transit and stops small items going missing between shows.
What is a cable packer?
A cable packer, sometimes listed as a cable trunk or cable case, is a large wheeled utility trunk sized for coiled cables and multicores. Ours are built with quality latches and extrusions, hard foam-lined walls and internal dividers, so heavy cable loads roll to the stage instead of being carried.
Should I choose a hard case or a padded bag?
Hard utility cases suit freight, stacking and heavier loads, while padded carry bags and cable organiser bags are lighter and easier to store for smaller rigs. Pick based on how rough the journey is and how much the contents weigh.
