A keyboard is lighter, typically with 61 unweighted keys and a wide set of sounds, rhythms and learning features. How many keys does a piano keyboard have?

A full-size piano keyboard has 88 keys. Portable keyboards commonly have 61 or 76 keys, which keeps cost and size down and is plenty for kids and adult beginners to start learning on. If the goal is formal piano lessons or exams, an 88-key digital piano with weighted keys builds correct finger strength and technique from day one.

What is a stage piano?
