The SWAMP BGC43STA is a rugged hard case built around a moulded interior shaped to the Sterling StingRay body. Its 3-ply wood shell is covered in black tolex-style PVC with white piping and chrome hardware, while the plush black lining, shock-absorbing EPS foam and padded neck rest cushion your bass against knocks. Three strong latches keep the lid securely closed - one is lockable, with the key included inside the case - and a large internal accessory compartment keeps leads, straps and tuners close at hand.
Made to Fit the Sterling StingRay
We have fitted this case to the Sterling by Music Man StingRay range ourselves. The 4-string RAY4, the 5-string RAY5 and the Intro Series RAY2 all sit perfectly, with the body cradled in the contoured recess and full clearance for the headstock. Because the interior is moulded to the StingRay shape rather than left open, this case is intended for StingRay-style basses specifically. If you play a different body shape, our tweed BGC43TWD bass case has a standard interior that suits a wider range of electric basses.
Classic Black Tolex Styling
Finished in black tolex-style PVC with contrasting white piping and chrome latches, this case carries the classic look that has travelled with electric basses for decades. The tough textured covering is practical too, shielding the wood shell from scuffs and weather on the way to rehearsals and gigs.
Built to Protect Your Bass
Under the covering sits a sturdy 3-ply wood shell, lined with shock-absorbing EPS foam padding and a soft black plush interior that cradles the finish and keeps your instrument scratch-free. The contoured body recess holds the bass snugly in place, and a padded neck rest supports the neck in transit.
Lockable Latches and Accessory Storage
Three strong drawbolt latches prevent the lid from opening accidentally, and the centre latch is lockable, with the key supplied inside the case, adding security between sets and in storage. The large internal accessory compartment keeps leads, straps, picks and tuners organised, while the bonded soft wrapped handle makes the case comfortable to carry.
