Classic of a Classic
Based on one of the most copied overdrive pedals ever. Mosky Audio have made two closely related overdrive pedals: the Golden Horse and this one, the Silver Horse. What differentiates the two is a two-way switch on the latter that lets you choose between Hard and Soft clipping modes, therefore tweaking the gain structure. In one position, the Silver Horse will clip with the gain knob set at relatively low settings. Flick it to the other position and it gains a lot of headroom and won’t distort. This is an ideal setting if you want to bypass the pedal’s own crunch and pummel the front of your amplifier, or if you’re using a more high-output pickup and don’t want the Silver Horse’s distortion to kick in. The Silver Horse still features the trio of dedicated control knobs for tone sculpting.

Nice little workhorse
By: AndrewT on 31 August 2021I've been working on the range of live sounds I can get out of my guitars, and this one came up as an option for a Klon drive. Decent little unit, well made. I'm still working out where it fits in my rig, but it's doing good work bringing a bit more chime to my overdriven tones.
