The latest addition to Artist's range of S-type guitars, the AS62III combines the classic late-60s styling with a host of ultra-modern appointments, offering a massive range of tones to suit jazz cats and punk thrashers alike! With two Alnico V Artist Wrangler pickups in the neck and middle positions, the AS62III produces the kind of gorgeous, out-of-phase tones made famous by players like Hendrix, Clapton, and Knopfler! If you're hungry for a little more power, switching to the bridge position reveals a throaty growl with plenty of mid-range and top-end bite, courtesy of the famous Artist Bullbucker Humbucker! If you're in the mood for the classic SSS sound, you can always pull the tone knob to split the bridge pickup into a single-coil sound.

Great Features
The Artist AS62III features a stunning Bolivian Rosewood (or Pau Ferro) fretboard atop a lightly roasted Maple neck. With a bone nut, two-point tremolo, and tortoiseshell pickguard, Artist have spared no details when designing this versatile gigging machine. The AS62III also comes equipped with GraphTech RATIO® Machine Heads. RATIO® Calibrated Machine Heads are unique in that they incorporate different string gauges into the construction of each machine head. From Low E to High E - 39:1, 24:1, 20:1, 35:1, 20:1, 12:1. This means that each string's gear ratio is balanced so that every string reacts the same to any tuning adjustment. Simply turn the tuner halfway around to tune up or down a semitone - on any string!  The Artist AS62III comes strung from the factory with D'Addario EXL110 10-46 strings.
