SWAMP DIY Build Your Own Electric Guitar Kit - Stratocaster Style
If you have ever wanted to build your own stratocaster guitar, but feel you don't have the carpentry or wiring skills of a Luthier, then this SWAMP DIY guitar kit is ideal for you. Includes a pre-wired body, an assembled and precut neck, all other parts.
The Guitar Body
The body is made from Paulownia wood, a light weight blonde coloured timber with the same strength as Cedar. The white plastic scratch-plate or pick-guard has been fixed in place, as have the volume and tone controls, whilst the holes for the bridge, jack and neck have been precut for an easier build.
The Guitar Neck
The SWAMP Guitar Kit includes a bolt on maple neck and headstock commonly used on many electric guitars. With 21 frets, and a scale length of 25.5", this guitar, once constructed, will be an instrument upon which the player can perform just about any piece of music they are capable of playing. The radius of the neck is around 360mm or about 14 inches.
The Guitar Controls and Electronics
Similar to most Stratocaster style guitars, there is a 5 way pick up selector wired up to 3 single coil pick ups. A single volume knob and 2 tone knobs already positioned and pre-wired to make construction of the guitar even easier. Under the scratch plate, this body is routed for humbucker-single coil-humbucker, for future expansion.
The Guitar Hardware
The hardware supplied in the kit includes chrome die-cast tuning keys, a vintage chrome bridge with tremolo, a chrome jack connector and mount, a backplate, plus all the screws and bolts required to put the guitar together. In addition each kit comes with a set of strings and guitar lead to plug into the amplifier.

Nice quality at the price
By: Joe Horvath on 9 April 2021Nicely put together kit with only three wires to solder. Option to use hum buckets as body is routed out already. Will check frets for height etc. and fret ends will benefit from a polish up to smooth it out. Great first DIY kit for the money.
