Audio-Technica created the M40x as a transparent, accurate, detailed and flat tuned solution for critical monitoring. It features incredibly accurate audio monitoring across the entire frequency range. As well, it has 90° swiveling earcups for easy, one-ear monitoring. Lockdown life savers
By: Phil on 21 September 2021I've been playing guitar and listening to music on these headphones through lockdowns and covid. They don't get tiring. Clear, comfortable and great value for money. If you have $100 budget for headphones go that little bit further and step up to these.

Wonderful value

These surprise me though... extremely clear and to my ears well-balanced flat sound, good noise insulation and really good solid construction. The coiled lead is great, never gets in the way and I like that you can remove the cord for transport. The pads don't quite cover my ears but they're still comfortable. Well done Audio-Technica... I love them, great studio and general purpose headphones.
