Designed to maximize the effectiveness of acoustic treatment, these corner pieces fit out the corners of a studio with acoustic foam, to give ultimate treatment coverage in an acoustic space.
The corners in a loud room usually harbour a lot of reflective sound waves, particularly low frequency waves, so it makes sense to focus sound absorption in these areas, catching the greatest amount of unwanted sonic reflections.
Dispersion Design
This foam is cut in a way the will drastically reduce sonic reflection. The Face of the foam is cut in an uneven, jagged way, so that any sound reflections are split up into a multitude of directions, reducing the sonic energy of the sound waves and thus the dB level of the reflections.
Fixing the Foam
How you attach the foam to a wall or surface, really depends on the surface and how permanent you wish the installation to be. Popular methods for wall attachment include staples, nails, screws, tacs, glue and velcro. On this type of thick foam, using glue of velcro is recommended.
