Since inventing the wound string technique, D'Addario have been manufacturing wound strings for over 3 centuries for various instruments. Their Bass guitar strings are wound with nickel-plated steel, which gives them a bight and glossy edge and compliments most playing styles.
Regular Light Gauge for Long Scale Basses
The EXL170 Balanced Tension Regular Light gauge strings are comprised of mathematically optimized string gauge combinations, resulting in greater control and playing comfort. They provide greater dynamic control and a more consistent feel between strings for evenly balanced bending, strumming, fretting, picking, plucking, and slapping. They're suitable for all bass players with 4-string bass guitars. Fits long scale basses with a string scale length of up to 36 1/4 inches.
