G7th Newport 12-String Guitar Capo with Compensated String Pad
The G7th Newport 12 String is a flip-lever capo designed specifically for 12-string acoustic and electric guitars. Its patented Compensated String Pad frets all 12 strings at the same time and under even tension, dramatically reducing the tuning problems 12-strings usually suffer when capoed, while the slim satin silver frame stays out of the way of your fretting hand.
Compensated String Pad
On a 12-string, each course pairs a full-gauge string with a much thinner octave string, so a flat capo pad presses them unevenly and pulls the pairs out of tune. Like a compensated saddle, the Newport's string pad is shaped with ridges that take those different gauges into account, so every string frets cleanly under the same pressure - no buzz, no choked octave strings, and far less retuning between capo positions. Choosing the G7th Newport 12 string capo means you spend less time tuning and more time playing, on stage and in the studio.
Flip Lever with Fine-Tune Tension
Flip the concealed lever to clamp on or release with one hand in seconds, then use the fine-tune tension screw to dial in exactly as much pressure as your neck needs - enough for a clean, buzz-free sound without over-clamping and pulling the strings sharp. Soft, non-reactive contact surfaces protect your guitar's neck and finish.
