Premium Insert Cable TRS to Dual 1/4" TS
Swamp Premium Insert Cable - TRS to 2x TS
This cable is suitable for 'insert' applications where a signal is both sent and received through the TRS jack. The most common use is to side-chain a digital effects unit or external compressor into an input channel of a mixing desk.
Braided Ground Shield
A 100% OFC braided ground shield on each conductor ensures maximum electro-magnetic interference (EMI) rejection, which is essential when used around vast amounts of electrical equipment.
Featuring Ningbo Neutrik Connectors
Our insert cables feature professional quality Ningbo Neutrik connectors, suitable for use in demanding professional environments. Gold coated contacts provide a superior signal transfer.
Would be 5 stars, JBL MSC1 setup warningBy: Anonymous on 20 December 2019Amazing product, company, customer service etc. This would be 5 stars, this is just a warning for JBL MSC1 owners/setups...... particularly in my setup this cable won't work. In my setup, basically I'm trying to split the left and right output to 4 outputs using the splitmix4. Specifically i want to route the JBL MSC1's: Left and Right Output to a Splitmix4: singular stereo female input (which then allows too split the input into 4 outputs). Tho using this cable will to convert the left and right to the input will not deliver a proper sound (sounds like the trs isn't plugged in far enough..... Just like ur playing music on ipod and u pull out the auxiliary a little bit where some parts are clear to hear but some are completely cut off) Anyways, still an amazing company & products...... these cables do work for probably everything else but just not with MSC1's in this particular setup.
Just a thought on this issue - the issue you describe (pulling out the aux cable a bit) should result in losing either left or right audio channel. If you are say listening through headphones, you should hear it drop out in one ear. If you are combing the left/right into a mono speaker, then you will just only notice a change in the sound as it "losses one side of the mix". Note, the 1/4" output jacks on the JBL MSC1 are likely "balanced" (and would certainly not be stereo, only the headphone out usually is), and you never want to use this TRS to 2x TS cable with a balanced output, as one TS will have the "hot" and one the "cold" signal from the 'balanced output'. The 'cold' output is inverted and will sound "out of phase" if you listen to this channel on its own. If you happen to combine "hot" and "cold" together back into a mono signal, you get a really odd 'out of phase' type sound and if the song has strong stereo panning its like those parts of those actually get cancelled out... which is really what a balanced signal is designed (cancel out of the difference between the signals and leave the rest). If you wanted to use this cable to go from the "headphone output", that would work (though note Headphone / Line Level are different, but suitable to use together just need to adjust headphone level correctly). It would take the left/right and split. I will reach out with an email also to follow up, as I don't fully understand your setup and intentions to the ART SplitMix4. Hope this may help other when considering this type of cable - reach out if you need extra support.
