Innovative Design
The innovative Loog guitar is a seemingly simple idea that makes it easier for children and beginners to learn and play music. To begin with, Loog guitars only have three strings, which is significant for a number of reasons. Firstly, by only having three strings, a lot of the physical and mental aspects required in playing a guitar with six strings, are significantly reduced. With a six string, traditional guitar, the child needs the strength to grip and hold down multiple strings at a time. This can be challenging, especially when the child is younger and their hands are too small to even grip the neck, let alone push down strings. The Loogs neck is only 2.5cm wide and less than that in diameter, which would make it possible for even the smallest of hands to be able to grip and from chords.

Playing Chords
To play chords in music you require three notes, that make up a three-note triad. On a traditional guitar, you play two triads with every chord as a standard 6 string guitar as the guitar strings are two octaves. On a Loog there is only 1 octave and the child or beginner is only required to play one three note triad to form a chord. In a lot of cases this means that the child only needs to hold down one or two notes to form a chord and ultimately be able to play songs. One of the most common chord changes of C to G both utilise 1 finger chords on a Loog, making it much easier for kids to play a song.

Learning is Fun
Loog Guitars come with a free interactive instructional application, with a variety of classic hit songs by the Beatles and Rolling stones, to modern day popular songs by artist like Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift. The app shows the kids how to play the song chords and allows them to play along with the band. You can also record a video of yourself playing to send to all your friends! The app has a number of cool features, like a tuner, monkey metronome, full chord charts (in left hand, right hand, 3 string and six string) as well as directory of video lessons that can get kids playing from day one! The Loog application teaches kids to use the correct fingers as if they were playing a six-string guitar so that when they do progress, it is as simple as placing the additional fingers, rather than learn all over again.
