Saramonic WiTalk9X LC Over-Ear Replacement Earpiece Cushion
The WiTalk9X LC is the over-ear cushion that seals a Saramonic WiTalk9X intercom headset against the side of your head, and it is the part that wears out first on a headset that works for a living. A deep padded ring with a breathable acoustic mesh centre, it restores the isolation that lets you hear the mix over a loud stage, set or pit, and it lifts off and presses back on without tools.
The Part That Decides How Much You Hear
Passive isolation on an intercom headset comes almost entirely from the cushion. Once the foam has gone hard or the covering has split, the seal breaks, ambient noise leaks in and operators start pushing the level up to compensate - which is uncomfortable and makes the channel harder to follow, not easier. A fresh cushion puts the seal back and usually makes an ageing headset feel like a new one for the price of a consumable.
