They have now adapted themselves into a special place in my heart, and also into my theatrical adaptation of the movie 'Adaptation' starring Nicholas Cage. My live adaptation of the movie 'Adaptation' is called "Adaptation - an Adaptable Adaptation" and if it's debut is even half as adaptable as these XLR male to 1/4" female stereo TRS adapters I will be over the moon!

By: John Lambert on 15 November 2013Very simple construction. Quite fragile wires internally but they shouldn't ever be under stress so this shouldn't be a huge issue. The metal case is the only ground connection which is only a concern because mine were supplied with loose screws so there could be noise if these loosened over time. The metal case of the XLR is connected to the metal case of the TRS jack purely by this mechanical arrangement - no soldered link. Will let you know if it is an issue long term. Doesn't seem quite up to the standard of a lot of other Swamp gear.
