Choosing Cable for Audio
This is unshielded (UTP) cable, ideal for network and computer connections. It is not suitable for passive (analogue) XLR-to-RJ45 audio snakes with phantom-powered microphones: on those boxes phantom power returns through the cable shield, so they need a shielded (STP/FTP) cable.
