Neutrik NE8FDX-Y6-B Shielded CAT6A etherCON Chassis Connector
The Neutrik NE8FDX-Y6-B is a shielded etherCON CAT6A chassis connector in a black D-shape housing, with IDC (insulation displacement) termination at the rear so the network cable terminates directly onto the connector rather than patching through a second socket. It meets CAT6A / Class EA channel specifications, carries Power over Ethernet up to 60W (Type 3, Class 6, IEEE 802.3bt), and its shielded design gives high noise immunity and EMI protection for pro audio, video and lighting networks.
IDC Termination for Fixed Installs
Unlike a feedthrough connector, the NE8FDX-Y6-B terminates the installed cable itself, removing the extra patch lead and connection a feedthrough needs behind the panel - a clean, permanent result for wall plates, floor boxes, stage boxes and equipment panels. It accepts solid wire from AWG 26/1 to AWG 22/1 and stranded wire from AWG 26/7 to AWG 22/7 with insulation diameters of 0.85 to 1.6 mm, and Neutrik's HX-CAT6A parallel press tool is available as an accessory for termination.
Rugged, Shielded etherCON
The front-mounted zinc diecast housing has a black finish and fits standard D-series panel cut-outs, and it takes D-series accessories such as Neutrik's SCDX hinged cover and DSS coloured lettering plates. Neutrik's million-fold proven latch lock holds etherCON cable connectors securely, the connector intermates with the existing etherCON CAT5 range, and it is rated from -40 to +70°C.
