SWAMP 12" 2-way Passive PA Speaker - 180W RMS / 360W
The PBO-12 is SWAMP's all-round workhorse passive PA speaker, 180W of power in a monitor / foldback option speaker box. This speaker will provide a clean high-end presence, with a tight full bottom end.
FOH or DJ Speaker
The PBO-12 delivers power of 180W RMS / 360W at peak levels. A pair of PBO-12 offers plenty of thump for small pub and bar gigs, up to 120 people. Mounts on all standard speaker stands. A slanted speaker box design allows the PBO-12 to be used effectively for stage monitoring applications.
Two In/Out Sockets
Like many passive speakers, the PBO-12 features dual in/out speaker sockets with speakon connections, meaning it can be used in series with a second passive speaker, allowing you to power multiple speakers from a single amplifier channel. Perfect for stage monitors and spacial coverage in a large room.
Power from a Power Amplifier / Audio Receiver
Being a 'passive' speaker, the PBO-12 will require a 'power amplifier' to provide the audio signal and the power required to drive the speaker. Power amps are either sold as standalone units, or may be included as part of a mixing desks or audio receiver (home theatre). The PBO-12 can be powered by any type of power amplifier, providing the power output of the amp does not exceed 300W (at 8 ohm). We recommend selecting an amplifier outputting between 150W and 300W (at 8 ohm). Feel free to contact us for assistance in selecting a suitable power amp.
