Why Cable Trays and Guards

Cable Trays are fast becoming an industry requirement, and therefore a necessary piece of equipment for Audio and Lighting companies, venues, studios and even some workplaces. As you undoubtedly know already, council regulations, OH&S standards and licensing compliance in venues are forever increasing in their scope, and authorities much stricter in their enforcement,especially when it comes to anything, not matter how minor, that could potentially cause injury. This includes the way cables, are run, hung, stored and display, regardless of whether they be power, audio or lighting. One small incident could spell the end to your business!

The cable trays we are stocking are designed to reduce the risk of this happening, whilst also protecting your cables at the same time. Each of our trays will "guard" your cables, hiding them from people's feet, beverage spills, general venue dust and dirt. Keeping your runs neat and tidy and protected will ensure your cables last a lot longer!

Separating the Signals with a Cable Tray

Our 5 in one tray (our product code CH-CP-3) is designed specifically for where audio, power and lighting are forced to share the same cable run. That annoying buzz we sometimes hear in venues and through speaker systems is often caused by these 3 types of cable being run along the same track and signal "leaking" across cables. Our 5 way, has four dividers in it, permitting separation for each type of cable run, whilst protecting them with just the one cover. This is the heavy duty tray in our range, rated to withstand truck and car access, making it perfect for your outdoor runs as well as your indoor applications. Available for purchase in combined yellow/black safety colours as a single item or in a pack of 2 (MP-CH-CP-3).

Covering the Small Things

For the smaller leads, such as mic cables, or maybe a single power cable or computer cables in the office, studio or small stage, we stock a single track cable cover. Supplied in 1m lengths in either Black (CH-CP-1-BK), or Yellow (CH-CP-1-YL). These are sturdy little covers, without the base and dividers used in the heavy duty range. They are affordable, and, to be honest, having put one of these over our cable runs here in the Swamp office has probably saved a few mishaps! Due to demand, we also sell them in packs of 10 (MP-CH-CP-1-BK or MP-CH-CP-1-YL).
