SWAMP DIY Build Your Own Electric Bass Guitar Kit - Jazz Style

The Jazz Bass Guitar Style
The Jazz Bass has two single coil pickups with two pole pieces per string. As well as having a slightly different, less symmetrical and more contoured body shape (known as the Offset Waist Contour body), the Jazz Bass neck is noticeably narrower at the nut than that of a Precision Bass. While the Precision Bass was originally styled similarly to the Telecaster guitar, the Jazz Bass' styling was inspired by the Jazzmaster guitar, with which the Jazz shared its offset body and sculpted edges that differentiate it from other slab-style bass bodies.
Full Kit with Electronics
The kit includes the body, neck, pickups, bridge, tailpiece, posts, machine heads (tuners), volume/tone knobs, cavity cover, truss rod cover, strap pins, pots, capacitors, switch, output jack, screws, sleeves, bolts, washers, insulated wire, solder, lead, starter strings, allen key.

Jazz Bass kit
By: Ron on 16 February 2026Everything fits perfectly. Neck alignment is spot on and bridge intonation no problem. Bit of fret sprout easily fixed. With paper thin neck relief and 2.75mm string height at twelfth fret there is no fret buzz. All hardware works and with just a little soldering to fit pickups to the prewired vol/tone harness (after shaping headstock and light shellac on body, with oiled neck and polished fretboard) it was ready to go.
