The ReAmping Secret
For years, Reamping has been the 'secret weapon' for countless recordings by the biggest names in the business! Few realize that recording engineers not only Reamp guitars, but often Reamp bass, keyboards, drums and even voice as a means to bring creative new tones and sonic signatures to their music. You start by recording a clean track and concentrate on capturing the best musical performance. Once the magic has been captured, send the clean track back to the amps and effects and adjust the sound to suit. No more hours of repetition for the guitarist, no more rushed jobs due to scheduling, and best of all, you do not have to commit to the sound of the track. You can modify the tone as the recording progresses while using real amps, effects and natural ambiance for the most organic tone.
The DI2600N is a plug-and-play passive DI box. This means it does not require any external powering. You can pass the guitar and bass signals through the amplifier and then into the recording device through this DI box. It easy to adjust high and low frequencies. This DI box is also equipped with a mute switch. When you need to make some appropriate adjustments or move the microphone, you only need to turn the mute switch to the on position to achieve the mute function.

Its a Reamper alrightBy: Anonymous on 5 July 2019I have just recently started reamping, initially with a DI box, with mixed results... some good, some bad. Realising the benefits, I decided I needed to get a proper reamp box. I did my research and decided for the (*)adial JCR, which is not the cheapest of them all, so dropping $260+ on a device that might or might not work for me was something I did not want to do... as a result the PRORMP seemed like the best option. When I proceeded to check out and I came across the Alctron DI2600N, at almos 1/3 the price of the JCR, on which this is clearly based on... so decided to go for the Alcron instead of the ($)adial product.... what can I say... it's a reamp box alright, its quiet, built like a tank, noise free... consistent result.. Is it as good as the product its based on? well, I don't know... as I don't have one to compare it against... but what I can tell you is this: I've recorded my guitar and FX direct to board (with a Torpedo CAB M)… and also the same raw guitar and reamped through the same FX chain and presets… and there's absolutely no difference to my ears. If there's any tone loss... well, is completely imperceptible . and when weighted against the cost saving benefits... the Alcron really is a keeper. Save your money and don't be a brand snub.
