The Artist AG100 is the deluxe version of the AG1, wearing a deep transparent red finish over a solid mahogany SG style body. Coil-splitting Bullbucker humbuckers, a roller-saddle tune-o-matic bridge, chrome locking tuners and a true bone nut make it a serious hard rock weapon that covers clean, split and saturated tones with ease.
Better than Guitars Twice the Price
Perfect for those with a heavy right hand a la Malcolm Young and Tony Iommi, the AG100 pairs a body and neck crafted from solid mahogany for rich sustain and warmth, enhanced by the natural resonance that only set-neck construction can provide. The neck carries a comfortable 22mm C profile with a smooth gloss finish, while the eco-rosewood fretboard's modern 305mm (12") radius handles everything from fast solos to expressive bends across all 22 medium jumbo frets. White pearl block inlays, cream binding and black side dots complete the classic look with refined detail.
Signature Bullbucker Humbuckers
The AG100 is loaded with Artist's signature Bullbucker humbuckers, delivering a dynamic tonal range suited to everything from blues and jazz to hard rock and metal. Each pickup includes coil-splitting via its push/pull pot, opening up crisp single coil tones on demand, and the three-way switch takes you from tight, articulate cleans to thick, saturated overdrive in a flick.
Hardware Built to Hold Its Tune
The hardware on this one was carefully selected in pursuit of premium performance: a tune-o-matic bridge with roller saddles improves tuning stability and sustain, chrome locking tuners keep pitch under aggressive playing and heavy bends, and a true bone nut further enhances tuning accuracy. This model comes strung with D'Addario EXL110s straight out of the box.
