The Artist AT53 in Vintage Green wears a clean, non-aged nitrocellulose finish for players who prefer their vintage T-style without the battle scars. Laohao hand-wound Alnico V single coils, a satin roasted maple neck, stainless steel frets and locking tuners blend classic charm with modern performance.
Familiar, Yet Excitingly New
The latest in Artist's much-lauded range, the AT53 pairs the best elements of vintage guitar design with modern features. A classic-looking quarter-sawn roasted maple neck is finished in smooth satin, matched to a rosewood fretboard with a fast 14 inch radius and durable stainless steel frets. The thin nitro finish - the lacquer used on most guitars built before the 1970s - keeps the lightweight paulownia body resonant, so the AT53 sustains remarkably for such a light instrument.
Boutique Hand-Wound Pickups
Artist tested untold pickup options before settling on high-end single coils hand-wound by the Laohao workshop, a small team producing boutique batches of custom pickups to a remarkable standard. Through 250k pots with a treble bleed circuit, the AT53 delivers that signature single-coil twang and stays clear when you roll the volume back. A bone nut, copper foil shielded cavity, wheeled string tree and locking strap buttons complete the package.
