Ultra-Thin XS Film Coating
The XS coating is an ultra-thin film - around 10 times thinner than a human hair - wound over the entire string and heat-fused to the windings to create a protective barrier. It seals out the contaminants that dull string tone, yet it is more tonally transparent with less acoustic dampening than other coatings, so the set keeps its like-new brightness and resonance dramatically longer while staying beautiful to play.
