SWAMP Microphone Signal Splitter - XLR Y-Cable
This XLR Y-Cable allows a single balanced XLR signal to be split into two destinations. It’s a passive cable, meaning the pins are directly wired together without electronics or transformers, making it a simple and affordable solution for live sound and recording setups.
The SWAMP XLR Splitter Cable is a cost-effective solution for sending the same signal to two different inputs, such as feeding one microphone to both a PA system and a recorder. For condenser microphones or any situation requiring phantom power from multiple devices, please choose one of our dedicated microphone splitters for best results.
When to Use:
- ✅ Dynamic microphones – split one mic to two mixer channels or to a mixer and recorder simultaneously.
- ✅ Line-level signals – send one output to two destinations such as mixers, audio interfaces, or stage monitors.
- ✅ Budget-friendly applications – non-critical situations where convenience is more important than pristine audio quality.
When Not to Use:
- ❌ Condenser microphones – not suitable, as phantom power from two devices can conflict and the mic’s active output stage will not behave correctly.
- ❌ Critical professional setups – impedance mismatches and signal loss can occur, so an isolated splitter is recommended instead.
Recommended Alternatives for Condenser Mics or Professional Use:
- Alctron SC230N Isolated Microphone and Line Signal Splitter – provides transformer isolation and safe phantom power handling.
- ART SPLITCom Pro Microphone Signal Splitter / Combiner – professional unit designed for safe mic-level splitting with phantom power support.
- ART SplitMix4 TRS Splitter / Mixer – a versatile passive box for line-level and instrument signals.
Specifications:
- Connectors: 1x XLR female → 2x XLR male (3-pin XLR, REAN brand)
- Wiring: Passive, pins paralleled (no electronics)
- Length: 30cm

By: Mr. Viet-Anh Nguyen on 12 April 2013Perfect little splitter for when you want to keep things neat and discreet; in my case, I'm splitting my DI guitar signal from the DI box to the system so I can play around with my re-amper and amp modelling! Totally clean and no issues whatsoever.

By: Chris Harrison on 7 April 2013These XLR Y cable / splitter do what they where built to do, split a signal in 2. Perfect for current setup, for my band i split the vocal mic, 1 signal goes to the recording desk, the other signal goes to pa. Signal lose is minimal and i dont really notice any.... Built well.

By: Mr. Terry Causon on 29 March 2013I like to record our band on "live" gigs and because the mixer we use does not have "direct out" jacks, the Microphone Signal Splitter XLR Y-Cable allows me to send the signal to both the mixer and 16-track recorder without interfering with our regular stage setup.
