UGREEN 25158 USB-C to DP 1.4 Monitor Cable
The UGREEN 25158 connects a laptop, tablet or phone with a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 port straight to a DisplayPort monitor, with no adapter or driver needed. DisplayPort 1.4 carries up to 32.4Gbps for resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz, or 4K at 144Hz and 240Hz for smooth gaming, with HDR support. The 2m braided cable has aluminium plug housings, and it works in one direction only: from a USB-C source to a DisplayPort display.
Check Your USB-C Port First
Not every USB-C port can send video. The 25158 needs a port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, or a Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 port. A port that only charges or only transfers data won't give a picture, so check your device's specifications if you're unsure. Compatible devices include MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac, iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini, Surface Pro and Surface Book, Galaxy Tab tablets, the Steam Deck, and recent USB-C phones from Apple, Samsung and Google that support video output. It then plugs into any monitor, TV or projector with a DisplayPort input.
8K Detail and High Refresh Rates
DisplayPort 1.4 raises the bandwidth to 32.4Gbps, up from 21.6Gbps on DisplayPort 1.2. That headroom runs 8K at 60Hz for detailed photo, video and design work, and 4K at up to 240Hz or 2K at 240Hz for fast, fluid gameplay, using Display Stream Compression (DSC) where your device and monitor support it. HDR brings brighter highlights, deeper contrast and richer colour to HDR content. The resolution and refresh rate you actually get depend on your device and monitor.
Extend, Mirror or Daisy Chain
Use the monitor as a second screen to extend your desktop, or mirror your display for presentations. Clamshell mode lets you close your laptop and keep working on the external screen, and DisplayPort MST lets you daisy chain several monitors from one port when your computer and monitors support it. Audio travels over the same cable, so a monitor or TV with speakers plays sound too.
