Artist GM1BARIV2 Offset Baritone Electric Guitar - Black
The Artist GM1BARIV2 takes the hugely popular Grungemaster offset design and stretches it to a 686mm (27 inch) baritone scale, strung with 11-56 gauge strings and set up for B standard straight from the box. Chrome-covered Bullbucker humbuckers give it a broad, throaty voice that's perfect for low tunings, heavy riffs and modern rock or metal.
The Grungemaster, Gone Baritone
By popular demand, the GM1 has undergone a transformation. One of Artist's most popular models, it returns here in a slightly-altered Baritone version built off fantastic customer feedback. It keeps the same poplar body, Canadian maple neck and eco-rosewood fretboard, adds the longer 27 inch scale and dot inlays on the fretboard, and swaps in a black pickguard with updated controls and control plate to match the darker aesthetic. Artist's popular Bullbucker pickups were chosen for this guitar because their broad, throaty response is perfect for lower frequencies.
Built for Lower Tunings and Heavier Genres
A chrome stop-bar tailpiece and Tune-o-matic bridge anchor the strings for solid sustain, while the chrome-covered pickups and vintage-style machine heads complete the look. The longer scale length and sturdy construction keep thick strings tight and articulate, which is exactly why baritones are so popular for heavier genres. Plug into your favourite chorus pedal for classic Robert Smith tones, or crank your amp to max if you're more of a Petrucci fan - the GM1BARIV2 covers a lot of ground. It comes strung with 11-56 gauge strings and set up for B standard; if you'd like to use thicker strings you may need to adjust the nut, and the dual-action truss rod plus adjustable bridge and saddles make it easy to set up for various low tunings.
