Donner HUSH-I EVO2 Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar

Donner HUSH-I EVO2 Headless Silent Guitar
The Donner HUSH-I EVO2 in Natural combines a matte mahogany body with Donner's headless HUSH design, giving you a full-scale 628mm acoustic-electric guitar that packs down small for travel and plays silently through headphones. This upgraded version of the HUSH-I adds Donner's HPS-II preamp with a new custom undersaddle pickup, a built-in chromatic tuner, a 5-piece reinforced neck and hand-tightened thumb screws, so the removable frames go on and off without tools. It comes ready to play with a lightweight gig bag, strap, earphones, audio cable and 9V battery.

What's New Over the Original HUSH-I
The EVO2 keeps what made the HUSH-I a popular travel guitar - the headless silhouette, rounded fret ends, 628mm scale and headphone-ready output - and reworks the parts players asked Donner to improve. The original's solid carved neck is replaced by a 5-piece laminated mahogany and maple neck in a 7-piece neck-through build, the electronics move to Donner's HPS-II preamp system, and a chromatic tuner is now built into the control panel. The frames, which previously needed a small wrench to fit, now attach with two hand-tightened thumb screws, and new 3-layer edge binding protects the body from knocks on the road. If you want onboard effects, Bluetooth audio and a rechargeable battery, the HUSH-I PRO adds those; the EVO2 keeps things simpler and lighter at 1.72kg, running on a standard 9V battery.

HPS-II Preamp and Undersaddle Pickup
Donner's HPS-II preamp is paired with a HUSH custom undersaddle piezo pickup tuned specifically for the EVO2. It responds quickly to your picking dynamics, so light fingerstyle passages and hard strumming both come through with a full, natural acoustic tone in your headphones or through an amp. The side-mounted control panel has volume, bass and treble controls, and holding the volume knob switches on the tuner, with the note shown on the LED display. When it's time to be heard, plug the 6.35mm output into an acoustic amp, PA system or recording interface.

Silent Practice Anywhere
Plug earphones or headphones into the 3.5mm output and only you hear what you play - ideal for hotel rooms, shared living spaces and late-night sessions. The AUX-IN lets you connect your phone or music player and play along with backing tracks through the same headphones. The preamp runs on the included 9V battery, and the display flashes an "L" when it's time for a new one. To make the battery last, unplug your headphones and cables when you finish playing.

Tool-Free Frames, Built for Travel
With the tuning machines moved to the tail of the body, the headless HUSH shape keeps the whole guitar to 815mm long. The ergonomic metal frames give you a traditional playing position, then come off in seconds: undo the two hand-tightened thumb screws and slide them out, with no screwdriver needed. A T-shaped wrench for tuning and snugging the frame screws is stored in a hidden magnetic compartment on the back, so it's always within reach, and everything packs into the included lightweight gig bag.

Stable, Comfortable Neck
Travel means moving between climates, so the EVO2's 5-piece reinforced neck is built to resist warping and hold its tuning as humidity changes. The high-density HPL fretboard needs minimal maintenance, the natural bone nut adds warmth to the tone, and the slim C profile with a 400mm (15.75") radius and 42mm nut makes chords and lead lines comfortable. The 20 medium stainless steel frets have rounded ends, so there are no sharp edges under your fretting hand.
