Excellent $100+ headphones that cost much less. SeBy: Donald MacGregor on 9 September 2017It's almost cliche these days that some tech product is "great for the price"; these headphones actually are. The best AKG K240 copies I have used and they sound nothing like the AKGs. Whereas the K240s are very flat, almost boring sounding for a hifi user, they are at their best in a recording realm. These iSKs can do both quite well and are lighter than the AKGs they have copied in design. That might mean that they are less durable but on first glance, they seem well made. They certainly sound the goods. Clarity with a little hard edge at the top and more bottom than might be expected in a semi-open design, these benefit greatly from swapping out the pads for something velour (often called "floss" on the China-based sale sites). I think that any for user who needs or wants something fun and precise in their next set of headphones, there will be better choices though going back to my opening statement, these are without doubt excellent $100+ headphones that cost much less. Reading this? Buy the HP-580s and enjoy the extra cash in your pocket.
Best Headphones for the PriceBy: Anonymous on 16 August 2017I've used many different types of headphones for recording and performing and for the price, these are hands down the best I've ever used.
By: Tony on 16 February 2015great headphones very comfortable very good for listening and monitoring also great fit over the ears
By: Patrick Lorrimer on 11 December 2013I bought these to play bass through as most headphones only have 40mm drivers and don't get down to the E string on a bass very well. These have great sound and great bass.
