The Artist AT53 Vintage Green Aged comes pre-battle-worn: its vintage green nitrocellulose finish is worn through to bare wood on the front, back and edges of a lightweight paulownia body, and it will keep wearing and ageing as you play. Under the relic look sit modern appointments - Laohao hand-wound Alnico V single coils, a quarter-sawn roasted maple neck, a 14 inch radius rosewood fretboard, stainless steel frets, a bone nut and premium locking tuners.

A Finish That Ages With You
The AT53 pairs the best elements of vintage guitar design with modern features, and this Aged version wears its history on the outside. Nitrocellulose - the lacquer used mainly on guitars built before the 1970s - is thin enough to let the light paulownia body resonate, and because it is a living finish it will continue to wear and age just as you do. A cream pickguard completes the classic T-style look.

Hand-Wound Laohao Pickups
Artist tested untold pickup options before settling on a pair of high-end single coils hand-wound by the Laohao workshop, a small team producing boutique batches of custom pickups to a remarkable standard. Paired with 250k pots, the AT53 sounds far brighter than its aged finish suggests, a treble bleed circuit keeps it clear when you roll the volume back, and a copper foil shielded cavity helps keep noise down. The 3-way switch gives you the neck, the bridge or both together.

Vintage Looks, Modern Playability
The quarter-sawn roasted maple neck has a comfortable satin feel and a 22mm C profile, and the rosewood fretboard's lightning-quick 14 inch radius makes bends and fast runs easy, while 22 stainless steel frets stay smooth and resist wear. A bone nut, a vintage-style bridge with brass saddles and strings anchored through the body, premium locking tuners, a wheeled string tree and locking strap buttons make this old battler anything but. It includes an instrument cable, truss rod and bridge adjustment keys, picks and strap locks.
