The iSK DM-58 uni-directional (cardioid) dynamic vocal microphone is designed for vocal use in live performance, sound reinforcement, and studio recording.

With a brightened midrange and bass roll-off the DM-58 is tailored to perform best with the charactoristics of voice and speech. A built-in spherical filter minimises noise from wind and breath "pop".

The uni-directional cardioid pickup pattern isolates the main sound source while minimising unwanted background noise.

With the general appearance of the SM58, the iSK DM-58 is a nice mike to handle with acceptably low body noise. With its typical midrange boost I have been using the mic for live vocals and it is proving to be rugged, with a rich vocal sound. The uni-directional format keeps feedback in check. You can work right up on the mesh with no distortion and I imagine it would be a good mic for a guitar amp as well, able to handle high volumes. The only comparison I have done is with my favourite JTSNX-8s. The DM-58 needed slightly more trim gain, but then compared very well. It has plenty of presence, a warm bass end with clear mids and tops. At a third of the price of the JTS and less than a sixth of the price of the SM58, the iSK DM-58 represents exceptional value.
